«One Is Always a Plural» is an exhibition by the performance artist Yael Davids. Born in 1968 in Israel, today she lives in Amsterdam.

Art in dialogue

In this exhibition Yael Davids places artworks from the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst collection into a dialogue with her own sculptures and installations. Key to her artistic concept is exploring and understanding the Feldenkrais Method. This aim of this whole-body exercise therapy is for each individual to understand their habitual movements and, based on this, to identify possibilities for both physical and spiritual change.

New experiences in the museum

Davids sees the museum as a place of communal learning. With this exhibition she invites us, using the Feldenkrais Method – that is, using our own bodies and movement – to try out a new approach to art and to experience the museum in a totally new way.
