Migros Commitment supports projects at regional, national and international level.

We promote social cohesion. By providing funding, the Migros Culture Percentage supports and encourages innovative project ideas that revolve around participation, individual responsibility and social relevance. Projects may be regional, national or international in scope.

Within Switzerland, the focus is on activities in the following areas:

  • gender
  • inter-generational relationships
  • health (especially the promotion of mental and social health)
  • promoting creativity
  • early-years education
  • life and family models
  • migration/integration
  • new and open learning cultures
  • neighbourhood development
  • volunteering and civil society

When assessing projects we place particular emphasis on sustainability, professionalism, good governance, effectiveness, gender & diversity and the proportionate use of resources.

Internationally, it supports projects that address community building and empowerment and give access to education and training.

Which form of funding is the right fit for your venture?

We provide funding in three forms. To get started with your funding application, choose the one that best suits your venture.

1. My project is national in scope

The Migros Culture Percentage supports projects that have a nationwide or supraregional impact and a clear, exemplary pilot function.

Guidelines on social affairs

Possible in German and French

2. My project is regional or local in scope

Is your venture regional or local in scope? Regional funding by the Migros Culture Percentage is the responsibility of the ten Migros cooperatives, with each cooperative setting different priorities. Locate the Migros cooperative for your area and find out whether and how it might support your project.

3. For NGOs in development cooperation

Are you a non-profit organisation as defined in your articles of association, working in international development cooperation, domiciled in Switzerland and with several years of experience? And does your organisation have an annual turnover of at least 300,000 francs? Every year, the Migros Aid Fund enables around 20 projects that benefit humans and nature and adopt a professional, sustainable approach.
